Finished Product
My day with the Alzheimer residents went great! They were very interactive, and seemed to have a fantastic time! First I started off with some coloring pictures that the residents colored with crayons. They were basic flowers, animals, and houses that encouraged a happy attitude. Next I had Adam Vermillion play the fiddle. He knew many songs that the residents requested him to play. They enjoyed listening to him, clapping to the beat, and singing along. Music also encourages a good feeling and calms angered patients. After the concert was over, I served the residents sandwichs and milk, which my mentor directed me to. My day of activities that i planned for the patients was a total success!
